I know I’m late posting today, but I had a pretty busy day for not stepping foot outside my apartment.
My sister and cousin came over to keep me company/look after me/keep me from being in a really bad mood because I can’t do anything. They were very successful in all areas. A+ to them.
We did some baking and then did all the heavy lifting, bending, reaching, moving, etc. Christine is going to a party with her friends tonight so she wanted to bring some hummus. I helped her make traditional hummus and black olive and roasted red pepper hummus. We may or may not have had some with pop chips (salt and pepper).
I was making my daily rounds of blogs I read when I saw the following over at Oh She Glows. It was love at first site and I knew I had to make these. (Do I say that everyday??!?)
I made these exactly as Angela did, so you’ll have to check out the recipe over at her blog.
But look at these chocolate dipped chocolate chip cookie dough balls…. and they really aren’t that indulgent…as compared to most things go, and dare I say even…guilt free.
Here are some pictures of the process. I will update this when I get some better pictures in day light. By the time they were in the freezer for an hour and ready to come out, it was dark.
For being raw and vegan, these are as close to tasting like cookie dough as it gets. Yum.
The ingredients you’ll need to make chocolate dipped chocolate chip cookie dough balls are:
- cashews
- regular oats
- spelt flour (or other flour)
- kosher salt
- 5 pitted medjool dates, chopped
- pure vanilla extract
- pure maple syrup, to taste
- dark chocolate chips
- 1/3 cup dark chocolate, melted, for dipping
So go ahead, you know you want to go over to OhSheGlows to check out the recipe. These take a total of about 20 minutes to make, 1 hour to freeze and about 30 seconds to eat.
You will be loved by everyone.
