Hi guys! How was your 3 day weekend? For me it was a four day weekend and besides a teeeeeeeny tiny bit of work I did on Friday, I did nothing all weekend but ENJOY life. I barely even opened the computer and it was GLORIOUS. Sometimes we all need to step away and unplug and that was this weekend for me.
I’m looking forward to doing this a couple of weekends over the summer and just getting away with Danny. Gotta enjoy these pre-baby days as much as we can right? We spent the weekend at the beach, laying around, playing with kids, eating good food and getting in some workouts. Even though I literally HATE the ocean, I love the beach. I can sit there all day long. Unfortunately we didn’t get to because it kind of rained on and off all weekend, but I still was smiling.
We came home on the early side yesterday so we would beat traffic, stopped at Trader Joe’s and made our way home in less than 3 hours. Pretty flawless, even though I’d rather have been on the beach all day!
So that was the weekend and this was my short-ish recap. Danny and I also hosted a little barbecue yesterday with way too much food. I got a little carried away, but I couldn’t help it. I just love cooking for people. Somehow in the midst of doing everything I forgot to take pictures. But don’t worry because this pasta salad was, of course, there. I also made frozen yogurt with chobani! (recipe to come this week!) I also made chicken drumsticks, which I don’t think I’ve ever eaten before, because I REALLY wanted them at the store. Random pregnancy craving.
And because I LOVE love, I’m sharing this YouTube video. I’m SURE you’ve seen it, but I can’t help but be sentimental over my own engagement 5 years ago (AND my friend MEG AND TIM’S engagement this weekend!!!!). Enjoy.
