Holiday Favorite’s

by Nicole on December 8, 2010

Morning! Once again it’s another cold morning, but any morning before Christmas is okay with me. There is something about the holidays that makes me tolerate the cold, maybe because I light a holiday candle, put on the tree and music and everything in the world seems right. I know I’m not alone on that one.

Besides all the cookies I love to bake (which I haven’t started yet…) I love all things seasonal, with this being my favorite season. At work I’m known for whipping out my holiday decorations with the perfect pen and stickers to go with it. After being inspired by the festive soap at my friend Meg’s house this weekend I decided it a trip to Bath & Body Works was in order.

Some dollars later I was the proud owner of 2 different holiday soaps and a bunch of different festive smelling candles. It wasn’t even torturous for Danny..not at all…not even after he had to carry the 12 pound bag around the city.

So I figured today I would share some of my very favorite holiday things, some old, some new.

Holiday Soaps

Bath & Body Twisted Peppermint Soap

Vanilla Snap Soap

Candles (Slatkin & Co)

Holly Wreath Candle

Favorite Teas to keep me warm:

Trader Joe's teas

And then my all time favorite Christmas album:

Trans Siberian Orchestra Christmas Eve and Other Stories

All of these put together add up to one happy holiday girl. I need some holiday cheer these days.

Oh and thank you all for the supportive comments through my whole ankle issue. I’m proud to report I did 2 miles on the treadmill yesterday, pain free. I walked a minute and ran 2 (at 5.0) for 2 miles. I look forward to building this back up slowly because I don’t plan on re-injuring myself!

What brings you the most holiday cheer??

Looks like we have similar shopping lists (not surprised!). Just picked up some slatkin candles & TJ’s vanilla cinnamon tea the other day.

So happy your ankle is ok!!!

Ha, I agree– the snow and cold is GREAT during the holidays!! It’s during January and February (and MARCH!!) that it really starts to get on my nerves :-)

So glad your ankle is feeling better. Hope it continues to get better each day.
I want to try the Trader Joe’s vanilla tea. That’s definitely up my alley!
