No Food in the Fridge

What to do when there is no food in the fridge….blog about it?

I haven’t been food shopping in almost two weeks. I have been on the mend and I just can’t get there and especially with this blizzard, it’s just not happening. So now it’s my personal mission to make good food (decent food) out of whatever I have in my pantry and freezer, until food shopping happens this weekend.

Last night for dinner  it was: 3 sweet potatoes, roasted low and slow, honey balsamic roasted chickpeas and 2 sunny side up eggs for both me and Danny. Sorry, no pictures, but here’s a repeat of the chickpeas.  I love how crunchy these guys get and by guys I mean chickpeas.

I also have been majorly lacking in the vegetables department. I decided to make a juice to get some veggies in. I had juicing ingredients that Danny picked up at some point early last week. It wasn’t that good, but it was drinkable, so I loaded up on ice, threw it in a pretty glass and drank it. Considering all I want to eat right now is bread and chocolate, it felt good to have something with nutrients in my body.

Spinach, 1/2 apple, carrot, 1/2 lemon, 1/2 huge better, 1/2 inch ginger

Juice and my new "un-cook" book

Does anyone else only want to eat chocolate and bread? It must have nothing to do with the 3 days straight of eating bread, pasta and chocolate.

On another note, I may see the light of day today, just maybe. My doctor’s office was closed because of the snow yesterday, so if I have an appointment today I’m going to the doctor and to the mall to make some exchanges.

What do you cook when you have almost no food in the house? I have to get creative for tonight…we’ll see what happens.

Haha, well we had an Italian Christmas full of pasta and we are still eating all the leftovers this week so I’m getting more than my fill of carbs! I love it, though. I’m not sure if I could ever get tired of pasta. ;)

Bread and chocolate are good things, I gotta say.

When we get back from a long trip and our fridge is pretty bare, we always have the ingredients for chili so we usually whip up some of that. :)

sometimes…I secretly enjoy not having foodin the house because of the challenge :P low and slow roasted sweet potatoes and chickpeas? sounds like a wonderful meal to me! haha, I know what you mean, though – produce is often the first thing I run out of and I just feel at a loss as to what to make without any!
Hope you were able to get out and enjoyyourself today :)

Adipex definitely helps to loose weight provided it is taken in the right way! Try only after proper Consultation and along with correct diet and exercise routine.
