Happy Mother’s Day!

Happy Mother’s Day!
I’m so happy today is sunny because really all the mom’s out there deserve a beautiful day to celebrate themselves. I’m a huge believer in celebrating my mom everyday because of everything she (still) does for me, like my laundry…don’t worry that’s ending as soon as we move into our house.

Every year that goes by, I realize more and more, that the reason why I am the person I am is because of the lessons and values from my mom. As I learn more about the world, it’s clear that not everyone has the mother that I have.

So I’ll leave out the rest of the sappy-ness and just share the most important lessons I learned from my mom. These are lessons I refer to daily.

  • Follow your heart, it will always tell you the right thing to do. (A lesson I need to refocus on!)
  • Always be the better person in any situation, no matter how hard it is.
  • Give, give, give and give more.
  • You can never have enough bags and shoes. (A lesson I take very seriously.)
  • Family comes first.

I hope you all get lots of love and hugs today, mother or not. Mothers hold their children’s hands for a short while, but their hearts forever. ~Author Unknown (Thanks to Integrative Nutrition for that quote today!)

I am blessed to have her as a sister as you are to have her as your mother! She taught me those same values growing up, but there was one more:
“Stop peeing in my bed!”
Love you Roe….Happy Mother’s Day!
