Valentine’s Day Dinner & Dessert! Homemade Sushi & Peanut Butter Cups!

by Nicole on February 14, 2012

Morning and HAPPY Valentine’s Day! Whether your Valentine is a friend, boyfriend, husband, sister or even yourself…I hope you take time today to share some LOVE!

If ya didn’t know, I love anything having to do with love…which translates to me loving Valentine’s Day. Danny and I don’t do extravagent things for Valentine’s Day…we mostly just stick to a card and dinner. It’s the simple things. (I mean, I wouldn’t turn away a gift….but we just don’t typically do that… :) ) As a matter of fact, our Valentine’s Day gift to each other was all the amazing food we bought at Eataly over the weekend.

Since I love all things cooking, I’ll be making dinner tonight. Jill and I got together last week to put together some Valentine’s Day videos for you to show you what you could make for your sweetie. What could be better than preparing breakfast, dinner and dessert for your loved one? OR even better, you could show your Valentine these vlogs and *hint* that you’d like this made for you!

I LOVE making sushi, so it was perfect to put together a vlog showing you how to do it. I swear, you’ll recieve MAJOR brownie points if you make this tonight…or any night really.

Here’s the menu:

  • Breakfast: Protein Packed Smoothie with Chobani covered strawberries, drizzled with cacao nibs  (here)
  • Dinner: Whole Grain Sushi with Tuna, Shrimp, Cucumber, Avocado Lundberg Short Grain Brown Rice
  • Dessert: Homemade PB Cups using Navitas Naturals Cacao Powder

After dinner, we wouldn’t leave you WITHOUT dessert? How could we do that? I LOVE pb cups, so we decided to make a healthier version of that. Anything portioned out and slightly healthier…AND chocolate….is perfect in my book!

Who are you sharing Valentine’s Day with? Are you going out to dinner or cooking?

Don’t forget to subscribe to my YouTube channel for more videos!

Happy Happy Valentine’s Day! <3 <3
