Future Hopes and Dreams

by Nicole on November 19, 2010

*Note: This post took a lot of courage to post. It includes futures hopes and dreams.

I roll over to see what time it was and it is 7:30. That’s what time I usually wake up, give or take 20-30 minutes. I lay there for a couple of minutes and then get up and make myself a cup of coffee. I find myself on the couch, multi-tasking, blog writing & reading and watching the TODAY show to get up to date on all the current events.

After about an hour or so I figured out what I was going to do to workout for the day and finish around 12, when I start to bake. I spend most of my day baking different treats, muffins and cookies, mostly.

After baking I talk with 2 clients about their future goals and changes they would like to make since I’ve graduated from IIN. I tell them I will bring them a sampling of some foods for them to try and I’ll email them later to remind them of what we talked about.

The day ends with me cooking dinner for my family and sinking into the couch after a long day.

Clearly, this isn’t any of my days right now, but hopefully one day. This is my dream work day, spending my days baking and talking with people that want my help to learn more about integrating healthier foods into their life…and making my own schedule. Hopefully actually writing this down somewhere will help me realize my dreams!

*Post inspired by Beth and Jo who I got to bake for yesterday. Thanks for the inspiration and words of wisdom!

What is your dream job?

I want to work with people that have food allergies/intolerances or who have family members that suffer from this. One day…

I hope your dreams come true Nicole!

We can do anything if we put our minds to it – and I know this dream can come true for you, too. I can always tell how passionate you are through your posts! We’ve only got one shot – might as well spend it doing what we love, rather than what we feel like we “should.” Thank you for sharing you dream with us, Nicole – I think I should do the same thing by getting mine out in the open. More fuel to the fire, you know? :P

You’re a great teacher, and would be just as great having a career like that! I have said it for a long time now :)

I’ve done a similar post topic to this before and it was so scary to publish. It’s vulnerable putting hopes and dreams out there so publicly. I certainly think you can achieve yours though!

My dream job would be blogging and writing/speaking about fitness related stuff. Or personal training type work mixed in as well. I want something flexible for my family and that includes my passions of fitness, writing, and helping others. I trust God to work something out.
