Pinterest Picture Hanging Trick!

by Nicole on March 26, 2012

Morning! We’re back here at the start of a new week. Time never fails to RACE by.  As for last week’s post, I promise I’ll be sharing soon. I just can’t decide when, but I AM busting at the seems. It’s so hard to NOT tell you all! And it was so fun reading through the comments….I think Janetha came the closest.

How was all your weekends? I was so happy we didn’t have a total wash of the weekend. We did more home things here, got the hallway, living room and dining room totally painted. Trim and all. It looks great. Now we just need to get some things on the wall so it looks like a HOME.

Danny and I have hung many pictures & painting in our years together. We both basically stink at it. When we decided to hang a wall of photos and signs yesterday I was determined to NOT let it be the disaster we have made it before. I searched on pinterest for a great tip and I found one.  Literally we did this in less than an hour. We just used the trick and a level. Perfection.

I don’t usually post home decorating things on here, but since it’s such a great tip, I had to. I’m sure you can all benefit from this one.

For step by step directions and pictures check out this post from Celebrate Everyday with Me.

You basically get a wooden rules or stick (about 12 inches). Then you hammer a nail through it at one end. You take the picture you want to hang up and hang it on the nail. Place it exactly where you want it on wall and then gently tap nail into wall so it leaves a mark. Remove it and then hammer nail into wall where mark was made. Hanging perfection. Then you’ll end up with this.

Now I just need some pictures in those frames. That’s part of today’s task.

This weekend was very successful and also included a trip to a farmer’s market where we got amazingly fresh raviolis, a 4 mile run and a little stroll Saturday night with Danny.

Today is a special day for so many reasons. It’s my sister’s first day of work at NBC! My mom even took a pic of her this morning.

She’ll probably hate me for this, but her outfit was so cute (I picked it out…) that I had to share. So proud of you sister!

Also, today is my Aunt Louise’s birthday. Not a day goes by where we don’t think about her and remember her, but somehow it just all hurts a bit more today.

And lastly on a TOTALLY different note: Any student who enrolls in IIN between today, Monday, March 26th and Thursday March 29th will recieve a $300 Apple credit to use toward the cost of enrollment AND if you pay in full you’ll recieve an additional $500 in savings! Email or contact me for more information!

Have a great day today and remember to hug someone you love.

Man, I’m AWFUL at hanging pictures. Luckily my husband is pretty good at it, so I just sit back and command where the pictures should go, and let him do the hanging :-) Love the wall– it looks great!
