Re-Work it Wednesday: Re-looking at those Resolutions!

by Nicole on March 21, 2012

Hi all! How is your week going?

Yesterday we took a little work & play business trip out east. My sister needed new clothes for her new very exciting NBC page job,  so we figured why not bring some Pure Bliss to some stores out east and then head to the outlets. We visited a couple of different stores in Riverhead and then headed to the south shore and visited some in the Hamptons. Fingers crossed!

When we started to head back I decided I wanted to see the beach or the water, even just for a second. We had been go go go since early morning, so I needed to just breathe for a second. We pulled down a random road, got out and enjoyed the view for a couple of minutes.

So nice.

It’s March 21st and April is around the corner. Spring is here, as of yesterday. (Happy Spring!) and where did those New Year’s Resolutions go?

Are you still thinking about them everyday or have they fallen by the waste side?

I know for me I’m still going strong with all my water drinking. I did fall off the wagon when I wasn’t feeling too well, but I’m trying to plug along (chug along?)

We’ve talked much about New Year’s Resolutions and why they should be clear goals instead of vague wants. If you’ve fallen off the wagon, today is the perfect day to stop and recommit.

No day like today right?

Make it Great in March

Get your plan going again! What worked for you in January? Channel it again? Lists, post it notes, social media? Whatever it was, get back to it! If you lost your plan or it needs to change, rewrite it and post it somewhere you see it everyday!

Small steps. I’ve said it over and over and I’ll say it again: Don’t overhaul your life overnight! If you do that, chances are you will go back to your old habits. Make small steps and change things 1 or 2 at a time.

Move, move, move. You don’t have to love fitness to know that it’s so good for you. When you get started and make it a habit, you may even start to convince yourself you can like it. There are so many different workout options, from walking, to biking, zumba, pilates, yoga, spinning, etc. Make a date with a friend and try something out!

There is always right now. If it didn’t work out yesterday, then get back on the horse and start now. Don’t give up. You can do what you set your mind to. Find some inspiration and get it going.

Check out pinterest, other blogs like Carla’s, Tina’s, Lori & Michelle’s, twitter, facebook and more for inspiration!

What’s your favorite motivation & inspiration for meeting goals?

Sounds like you had a fun day!! I hope those stores pick up your products =)
My motivation these days is my son…I want him to be proud of what I have accomplished…I think of his little face at the finish line cheering for me and I just keep pushing along =)

Great post Nicole! I actually have a similar one coming up tomorrow but I love these tips that you’ve given. When I’m feeling un-motivated these days, I repeat a fitness mantra to myself like “You only regret the workouts that you don’t do.” It’s so true- I always feel better after! Good luck with the water chugging – I’ve been doing the same and totally notice an improvement in digestion and the way I feel in general. Have an awesome day! :)

I’m also wondering if I’m ever gonna fulfill my resolutions. I’m starting to defy them now. How many resolutions did you make this year?
