Friday Five!

by Nicole on February 28, 2014

Friday has never felt so good. Kidding, Friday feels good every week.

1. This chia pudding and these muffins are staples around here for the past couple of weeks. Danny, Liv and myself are loving them. I used to try to eat breakfast before Liv gets up…except it hasn’t happened in weeks, so I end up sharing my chia pudding and granola with her. I typically make a batch of muffins and chia pudding on Sunday. We ran out of muffins during the week, so Liv and I whipped up another batch.

2. Love this post by Lindsay. I, too, will never be a perfect blogger. I am trying to be more consistent with posting and trying to stick to 3 times a week. It seems to be working for me for right now.

3. Food. This weekend I will be making some pizza and making these cookies. I need them. I also need to get some Enjoy Life chunks to bake with.

4. I spent A LOT of money at the food store last week ($220) and I still have a bunch of food leftover (chicken, meat, brussels, eggplant, butternut squash). I’m challenging myself to keep it around $120 this week. I’ve written out everything I need and approximate values. I *think* I’ll be able to do it.

5. We are attempting to DIY our fireplace this weekend. I’m nervous. We bought all the supplies last week. Thank goodness my step-dad is really, really handy. I know if we mess it up he’ll save us.

One of my best pals turns 30 today! Happy Birthday Jo! I cannot wait to go out to dinner to celebrate her! Who else needs a night out…especially baby-less?

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

I keep meaning to try chia pudding and still haven’t yet. Maybe today’s the day I finally do it!

Looking forward to hearing about your fireplace because ours needs and update badly!

Happy Friday (oh, wait, we’re moms!)!
