I’m working on a couple of things…

by Nicole on March 16, 2011

Morning! I have approximately 2 minutes before I have to leave for work, I’m sitting here with make up, hair done, but still in pajamas. This weather is nasty!! Rain boots it is today!

I figured instead of sharing another recipe with you, I would share some goals I’m working on. I think we all are always working on goals, so why not share? You probably could guess mine. I came up with these over the weekend after I had my 3rd coffee and I was thinking about how we’re leaving for Italy in about a month. I am going to try to work on these goals until Italy, where I plan on eating and trying everything!

Goals

1. Trying to revamp my strength training routine. I hate doing weights at the gym because it feels skevie to me and I need to get heavier weights. I’m looking at the Women’s Health Big Book of Exercises for some workouts. Any ideas?

2. I don’t drink enough water for the amount of coffee I drink. The only drinks I do have are water and coffee but I have too much coffee and not enough water. I’m trying to change this by drinking 3 of my 750 mL Camelbak daily.

3. Too many carrots. As great as carrots as for you, having a half a bag a day while waiting for Danny to get home has to stop. It ruins my appetite and opens the door to continue snacking when I get home. I end up barely hungry for dinner, yet eating it anyway.

What goals are you working on?  Stay dry today!

My over-dose of coffee when teaching carried to my retirement and doc told me to “cut it out.” Now I have 2 mugs when I get up at 6 AM, oatmeal, or muesli with yogurt, or some other 10-grain cereal, and have to push at least a quart and a half of water by 3 PM. Too many teachers get UTI’s from not drinking enough water or not having a bathroom available.

WOW! Going to Italy!! We’ve been a few times to Northern Italy, around Como Lago, and Switzerland, France, & Spain. Beautiful country, beautiful people. My Dad was Italian and my Nona lived behind us so I could just run through the backyard and sit in her kitchen so she could feed me her homemade pasta. Have a safe trip and mangia!

For strength training-take a class…you don’t have to think you just do!
