I got my baking on…

by Nicole on January 22, 2011

It’s true.

I mean, clearly anything that is tweeted is true…obviously. You agree, don’t you?

We have zero plans for this weekend. Zero. Which equals a happy me. I love having plans, but coming off of a very busy fall, I’ve enjoyed a couple of weekends of doing nothing. Plus we have plans Friday and Saturday next weekend, so I’m okay with doing nothing now.

Well…nothing for me, isn’t really nothing.

I got together my giveaway gift after a trip to Trader Joe’s. You can still enter…winner announced tomorrow!

I made a double batch of peanut butter chocolate granola. Since single batches are so last week.

I baked some cupcakes and 2 mini cakes (I used a box from Trader Joe’s.) Half for my students, half for my husband. My students earn rewards in my class and can redeem their “money” for different things. 2 tables chose “Culver Creations” this week. So cupcakes are on the menu for Monday.

My muffin and no bake granola bar stash was getting low, so I had to take care of that too.

Vegan Blueberry Muffins

We also cleaned, did laundry, and have bread in the breadmaker…and it’s only 4:00.

Now to sit on the couch from now till….forever.

What are you doing today?

Sounds like you have had quite a busy, productive day! Great job!

That TJ prize pack looks fantastic – the winner is very lucky!

You and me both on the baking! Last night I got a craving for sweets, and I just couldn’t stop baking. It happens, right?

My “nothing” days are always full too… today I was cooking all day, since I didn’t have anything planned.

You are a baking fool! :-)

It all looks amazing….as always. Chocolate PB granola especially.

I am “unbaking” today. Making raw almond butter cookies :-)

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Wow everything looks and sounds so good. I think that is so cool that your students earn reward in your class. How awesome is that? The granola sounds wonderful. I might have to make some of that this week.
