Treadmill Interval Workout

Morning! I’m up and at ‘em this morning, starting off with Core Fusion bootcamp to get my workout in. I’m meeting some friends after work so I wanted to get my sweat in early.

In getting back to training for the 15k and half marathon I’ve been making sure to get my runs in on the treadmill. I’ve only been running twice a week and I have to say it’s been nice. This is the week that I’m bumping it back up to 3 times a week probably until May. I can’t wait for march to bring warmer weather and outside runs!

I’ve been doing some varying speed-work and hills on the treadmill to increase my stamina and try to get back in running shape.

I like doing intervals workouts because I can run faster and walk in the same workout. I thought I’d share what I’ve been doing once a week. You can totally adjust the speeds to your liking, faster or slower. Don’t forget to tune into your favorite mindless tv show while running!

I love doing interval workouts on the treadmill– it’s the only way I stay interested!

when have to run on the treadmill i love to do interval workouts…..it makes me feel so strong! have fun after work with your friends :)

I love my treadmill! Being able to watch TV while I work out is great for me. But then I’m also not training for anything, I just exercise to stay in shape. :)

Wow, good for you for getting up early to get your workout in! I do occasionally run on the treadmill, but only if I’m watching TV at the same time. Otherwise I tend to get very bored. I prefer going to classes, or doing class-like DVDs.

I actually really, really love the treadmill hehe. It’s awesome for speed/interval workouts!

I do a similar interval workout where I sprint/run faster for a couple of laps, then walk a lap, repeat :)

I’m a treadmill girl who wishes I was an outside runner. I normally stick to the treadmill because I get up so early and I don’t like running alone when it’s dark out. To keep it interesting I make sure I have a great play list and I always switch up the speed and/or inclines every so often just to keep from getting bored. Happy running! :)

I really like using the treadmill as a training tool for speedwork! I feel like it really forces you to keep your high intervals intense.

You should try my 30/60/90 workout…it’s a good one :)

I try and do dif interval workouts but I find that I do best if I wing it…when I try to do something planned I feel almost forced…I’d prob work a lot harder if I used a plan though!!
